Gail E. Berning, M.Ed.
Certified Exercise Specialist, ACSM

I earned both my Master and Bachelor degrees from the University of Toledo specializing in Kinesiotherapy and Cardiac Rehabilitation. I have twenty four years of experience in clinical exercise physiology, occupational physiology, nutrition science, corporate health promotion, lifestyle management & wellness coaching for healthy individuals as well as high risk individuals. My work history includes Riverside Hospital, Parkview Hospital, Associated Therapy Centers and St. Charles Mercy Hospital in the Toledo, Ohio area. I have extensive experience in strategic initiatives for health care cost containment for business & industry and I am currently the on-site Ergonomics & Wellness Specialist at Norplas Industries in Northwood, OH. We are a manufacturing facility, in the plastics division of Magna International. Our customers include GM., Chrysler, Toyota and BMW.


Don Hall, DrPH, CHES
Founder, CEO, and Board Chairman of Wellsource, Inc.

Don Hall graduated from Loma Linda University in 1973 with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in nutrition and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in preventive healthcare in 1978.

Following graduation, he joined the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and became a registered dietitian. He conducted community nutrition programs for several years and trained coronary care nurses in nutrition for heart health.

In 1980, Dr. Hall joined the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and was certified as an Exercise Test Technologist. He has been an active member with the ACSM for more than 20 years. He conducted the first Health Fitness Instructor’s certification course for the ACSM in the Northwest.

In 1984, Dr. Hall became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and spent much of the next ten years doing community-based health education for Upper Columbia Conference in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. He next worked in a healthcare setting for several years providing health education for Adventist Medical Center—Portland. He initiated their corporate wellness program and executive health evaluation program.

Twenty-five years ago, Dr. Hall founded and became CEO of Wellsource, Inc. Through Wellsource, he has provided corporate health programs to companies, hospitals, and health insurers. Along the way, he developed major health assessment and management programs for employee wellness, coronary risk reduction, stress reduction, diabetes risk reduction, nutrition assessment, fitness assessment, and other health promotion programs. Wellsource has some 40 employees who develop and market health assessment software, educational materials, DVDs, and other health promotion tools and training programs for health professionals.

Dr. Hall has provided health assessment, consulting, and training services for numerous organizations including Nike, Tektronix, Hewlett Packard, United Metal Trade Association, several school districts in Oregon, Safeway, North American Division of SDAs, Vanderbilt University, Loma Linda University, Stanford University, and many more. Wellsource now works with about 2,000 corporations and government agencies worldwide, including some 700 hospitals across North America.
