| About Our Speakers |
Shellie Stoddard is a director in
Insurance Ratings. She follows the health insurance and managed
care industry as a segment specialist. Shellie is the primary analyst
for the largest managed care companies, as well as a variety of other
supplemental health and group insurance companies. She publishes Standard & Poor’s
views on the sector and has led the segment’s criteria development.
Prior
to joining Standard & Poor’s, Shellie was with
A.M. Best Company, where she performed similar rating analyses on health
insurance and managed care organizations operating in the U.S. Previously,
she spent over ten years at Equitable Life Assurance Society, most recently
as product development manager for the company’s major medical
and disability income businesses.
Shellie holds a B.A. in Economics
and Mathematics from Colby College and an M.B.A. in Finance from New
York University.

Carl Mercurio, president and publisher of Corporate
Research Group, oversees a broad-based franchise in healthcare information
