AETNA, WELLPOINT, HORIZON BCBS-NJ JOIN E-SCRIPT INITIATIVE
Aetna Inc. (Hartford, CT), WellPoint Inc. (Indianapolis) and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Newark, NJ) have joined a coalition of technology companies with the goal of providing free e-prescribing capability to every physician in America by 2010.

WebMD Health Corp. (New York) said revenues for the fourth quarter of 2006 will be in the $79 million to $80 million range, up from a prior expectation of $73.5 million to $76.5 million.

WEBMD OFFERS FREE PERSONAL HEALTH RECORDS
WebMD Health Corp. (New York) announced that it is offering free personal health records, allowing anyone who visits the company’s web site to securely store and maintain their personal health history online. WebMD also provides health assessment tools that allow users to obtain a personal health score and to “take a more active role in managing their families’ health.”

TRIZETTO COMPLETES PURCHASE OF QCSI
Trizetto Group (Newport Beach, CA) has completed the purchase of Quality Care Solutions Inc. (Phoenix, AZ) for $130 million in cash plus the assumption of $1 million in debt.

TMG SEEKS $5 MILLION IN LAWSUIT AGAINST UNITEDHEALTH
TMG Health Inc. (King of Prussia, PA) has filed a lawsuit charging that UnitedHealth Group (Minnetonka, MN) reneged on a $5.2 million settlement agreement related to an administrative services outsourcing contract.

ALLSCRIPTS TO EXPAND EMRs AT UMASS MEMORIAL
Allscripts (Chicago) announced it has won a contract to provide its TouchWorks electronic medical record technology to UMass Memorial Health Care (Worcester, MA) for use by 1000 physicians involved in ambulatory care.

eHEALTH, INFO SERVICES STOCKS RISE 6.2% IN 2 WEEKS
eHealth and information services stocks rose 6.2% in the two weeks ended Feb. 2, according to a tally of 19 issues tracked by EHI.
