WELLPOINT COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF ATRIUM
WellPoint Inc. (Indianapolis) has completed the acquisition of the assets of Atrium Health Plan (Hudson, WI), a unit of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota serving 52,000 group and individual HMO and PPO lives in 28 counties in northern and western Wisconsin (MHMR, May 31). The operation will become part of CompcareBlue, the HMO subsidiary of WellPoint’s Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin unit.
