OHIO MOVES TOWARD HSAs
The Ohio State Medical Association endorsed HSAs before the Ohio House Ways and Means Committee on March 23 in support of a bill that would require the state to offer such accounts as an option to employees.

29% OF EMPLOYERS OFFER CDHPs
Twenty- nine percent of employers now offer HSAs or HRAs and another 33% plan to do so in 2007, according to a survey of 585 mid-sized and large companies conducted by Watson Wyatt Worldwide and the National Business Group on Health. Last year, 13% of employers offered these types of plans and only 7% did in 2004.
